The Embassy of Pakistan in Amman organized a Seminar today at the Chancery in the context of Kashmir Solidarity Day. The event was attended by Jordanian notables, members of academia, think tanks, media and Pakistani community.
The speakers included Dr. Hussam AkhoZaeih, President of the Pakistan Graduates Club, Mr. Ghazai Al Tayyab, former Senator, and Charge d’ Affaires a.i. The Speakers highlighted the continued Indian brutalities against the people of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir. They underscored that Jammu & Kashmir is the unfinished agenda of the Partition of British India which led to illegal Indian occupation of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Speakers saluted the courageous and valiant Kashmiris for their determination in the face of Indian state tyranny and for waging the historic and sacred struggle against the Indian occupation, subjugation and Indian oppression. Moreover, similarities between the Palestine and Jammu & Kashmir disputes were also drawn as both are stories of grave human tragedies and sufferings at the hands of occupying powers.
Special prayers were also offered for the martyrs of Jammu & Kashmir and Palestine and for the freedom of the two peoples.
